So for anyone who doubted the legitimacy of the Korrasami pairing in the end, there's this: Do you guys even understand the magnitude of this confirmation? <3 I knew it was hinted at, and that's the feeling I got, but to confirm it?! mind. blown. that is just too awesome

A friend sent me some KorrAsami fan art she found recently and I just had to share a few of my favorites Unfortunately I don't have a source, but I will try to find one when I have a chance.

Never was able to get into this. Loved the original, but couldn't get into this. Just didn't mix well with me.

Never was able to get into this. Loved the original, but couldn't get into this. Just didn't mix well with me. I honestly liked LoK as much as the original (depending on what day you ask me, I might say more) because it's more mature than TLA. That and the fact that the main characters were female and lesbians were what really pulled me in. I feel like with ATLA, they were just playing around until book 3. It wasn't until then that things started to get awesome (and probably better than Korra), but at least Korra was consistently captivating throughout the whole series.

It wasn't until then that things started to get awesome (and probably better than Korra), but at least Korra was consistently captivating throughout the whole series. I think with ATLA it was more of watching them grow up and evolve, in the beginning they were kids and just playing around, as the story evolved so did their characters and powers. katara learned blood bending, toph learned metal bending, soka went from his boomerang to his meteor sword. even zuko learned lightning. by the end they were warriors and have been through a lot. with TLOK she was already good at being the avatar (aside from the airbending in the beginning) but all her troubles dealt with issues that being an avatar wasn't enough. it was more of the world around the avatar evolving and growing up, not needing an avatar any more, and Korra having to deal with it.

oneijac I actually referenced that quote recently and it was beautiful. I love what they subtly did there...probably my favorite line in the show
