imgur.com/xWg5JPRIT HAS HAPPENED!! This is the first time I've ever really heard of a basically canon lesbian couple in a children's cartoon. This makes me happy not only because I love the pairing, but also because I see it as the beginning of the breaking down of barriers that prevent the portrayal of same-sex couples in Western cartoons (not sure how else to word that awkward sentence). Hopefully we'll see more of this in the future now that LoK has nudged the subject out of the shadows a bit. That's somewhat crazy. My mind is refusing to believe it. Western animation has been growing increasing liberal. I decided to check out Cartoon Network a couple of months back and was surprised by what I saw.

I would have to agree (and personally I'm very happy about it), but what specifically are you referring to in this instance?

I remember cartoons only hinting at questionable things back in my day, usually having small things that most kids wouldn't notice. Shows have gotten more blatant and it seems like the line between kids/young adult and adult television is blurring.
