Ask for yuri recommendations/recommend yuri to others here!
In response to a PM I got from huffer, my top 10 yuri anime recommendations are:
1. Kannazuki no Miko (great first yuri to watch—really tugs at your heartstrings)
2. Strawberry Panic (the quintessential yuri anime. If you've just begun watching yuri, this show is a must)
3. Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl (a very sweet anime that I personally view as yuri, since the main character, a biological male, identifies as female)
4. Sasameki Koto (A very realistic approach to yuri anime. I like this one, but it's more of a "feels" yuri than girl-on-girl action)
5. Aoi Hana (Very similar to SK but strays from the "yuri pattern" more than SK. Like SK, this one is a great option for lesbians and anyone interested in watching a realistic portrayal of lesbian relationships and the drama that can occur)
6. Kuttsukiboshi (lots of hot girl-on-girl action here. Yuri for the sake of yuri)
7. Shoujo Sect (a decent yuri hentai if you don't mind watching that kind of thing)
8. Yuru Yuri! (love this one, but I'm ranking it lower on the list because despite its name, it's not quite as much yuri romance as it is yuri teasing. I would watch this for the comedy and subtext, really)
9. the SonoHana OVA & Stainless Night (two other yuri hentai that don't quite rank so high as Shoujo Sect on my yuri list, but are still good watches)
10. Sakura Trick (many people liked this series, but I wasn't a huge fan—I'd rant but I'm too lazy right now—anyway, it's decent and purely yuri, so if that's what you're looking for, then check it out)
