As much as I love Chrome, I'm veeery close to switching browsers because of how slow it's been lately. I can't even watch anime and browse other websites at the same time because the stream will freeze. Anyone else having this problem? Multiple times everyday this week...

Every time I have problems with Chrome, I switch to Firefox. Every time I have problems with Firefox, I switch to Chrome.
Another thing, if your computer has an insufficient amount of RAM, your browser will perform horribly anyway, especially if it takes up a lot of resources. Older versions of Firefox would take up a good chunk of RAM, which is why I switched to Chrome in the first place. Then I added more RAM to my crappy old desktop PC, and both browsers functioned perfectly. It also depends on how many tabs you have open. If you have too many tabs open, you might want to close a few for reasons I mentioned in the first sentence of this paragraph.
Also, if you have issues loading web pages and other stuff, you might want to empty your browser cache once in a while.

Okay, I must really be stupid because I considered minimizing the number of tabs, but haven't cleared my history in months. Perhaps that will speed things up? (Already tired of Safari)

Okay, I must really be stupid because I considered minimizing the number of tabs, but haven't cleared my history in months. Perhaps that will speed things up? (Already tired of Safari) It should make it a little faster, not significantly better. Browser speed is also determined by other applications you may have open on your computer (forgot to mention that), since they also take up resources. So, you might want to close some of those if you just want to be on the internet and the internet only and have a good browsing session. Although, if you have 8GB of RAM installed on your PC, then you have nothing to worry about. For those who don't know how to clear their cache on Chrome: 1. Go to the settings in Chrome. 2. Scroll down until you find "Show Advanced Settings" (It's in fine print... e.e) 3. Under "Privacy" click "Clear Browsing Data". The dialogue box should say "Obliterate the followng settings from..." then have the option "the beginning of time" selected. (Should be like that from default. 4. Some boxes will be selected by default, this should be good enough so you don't delete saved passwords or stuff that's actually useful. 5. Click "Clear browsing data" and you're done. Think I may have posted this somewhere else when someone's browser was derping causing them not to be able to access a certain forum. Seemed to do the trick according to them.
