I read the Chimera Ant arc. That's where interest In Hunter X Hunter faded. The arc was a bit too... Not 'gory' but I can't think of a better word. Either way it was too much for my taste.

I think the turning point was when the Hunter from the exam was captured, followed by the ants literally picking his brain for info about nen, then being casually butchered for food right after.

I've followed the new chapters as they've come out but to be honest the huge hiatus gaps I'm not following the plot as I once did.

I started this series early January 2015. In about 2 weeks I ended up getting to the Chimera Ants Arc. For the first time in all of the series I was honestly bored with watching it. Maybe because I watched so much so fast, but it didn't matter before. This arc just started off to slow IMO and I haven't touched this since. I really need to pick it up again and finish it though. My favorite arc was the Phantom Troupe Arc. Although personally all the arcs kept my attention really well and made me want to watch more up till this arc. I think I need to give it a few more episodes though then it will pick up again.

Still wish they would change the opening from "Departure" at some point. It gets old after a while.
