Anyone know this series? It's one of my favorite on recent years. If not, it's a slice of life comedy that's got two main groups in its cast.
One the one side we have a trio of schoolgirls: Mio, Mai, and Yuuko. On the other we have Nano, a robot who would like to be like a normal girl, the Professor who made her (age 8) and their cat Sakamoto (who can speak thanks to an invention of the Professor's).
If you did a double take at the second half of that, this is where (to me) the charm of the series kicks in. Both sides go through various day-to-day adventures; but the schoolgirl trio's are overblown to the point of absurdity while the adventures of the wind up robot girl, little girl Professor, and taking cat are generally WAY more mundane. Scenes with the schoolgirls will include things like the most epic instance of the 3-second rule ever while the Professor is scared to go potty by herself in the middle of the night.
This creates a hilarious contrast that makes for a life that's anything but ordinary. The anime as two seasons of 12/13 episodes and the manga is ongoing.
The three second rule has never been so epic:
Nighttime is scary when you're a kid. Even when you're a genius scientist.

I just learned something annoying. Nichijou used to be available on Crunchyroll for legal viewing in the US, but its license expired in August so now it's no longer there. That's disappointing.

That show looks awesome. Totally my kind of comedy Reminds me of Azumanga Daioh haha Have you seen Yuru Yuri before? It's pretty different but has the same kind of random, weird humor.

I watched the first season but not the second. I mostly recall liking the "Outer Yuris" more than the main cast. I forget the names but mainly the tsundere who shouted "TOSHINO KYOKO!" and her friend who fantasized about them.
Nichijo x Yuru Yuri

Ayano is awesome, but Kyoko will always be my favorite...And Akari because I can relate as someone with no personality

Yeah, that's why I love those kinds of crossover videos.

So I watched the first 12 episodes of Nichijou today while playing Pokemon and it's not exactly laugh-out-loud humor, but I'm enjoying it. Some of my favorite screenshots thus far: Browe it's you:
