Don't know if there's an "official" name for this game, but it's one I discovered via the podcast "On the Tropes". At the end of their episodes they play various games and I particularly liked this one.
The premise is that we take a movie title, remove one letter from that title, and then describe the movie based on how the title's meaning changes. A couple of examples from the show:
Brad Pitt & Edward Norton have to do battle against a baby bear = Fight Cub
A shark terrorizes a beach and it is adorable = Aws
Now for a couple for everyone to guess:
1. Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford must rescue Carrie Fisher from fossils in La Brea, CA.
2. Charlton Heston is an astronaut finds himself stuck on a planet where humans are primitive and everything is ruled by mobile phone games.
3. Sam Taylor-Johnson is the Lord of the Underworld looking for romance in this adaptation of a Twilight fanfic-turned-erotic novel.
I found this a bit trickier to come up with that I expected. For the sake of expanding options we can do this with TV shows and video games if you come up with something for them.
