Well, it appears that the original thread I made has been deleted somehow, so I will make another!
There isn't much you need to know about posting here, since most content is generally tolerated, but we do have a few rules to make posts positive, constructive, and easy on the Mods.
1. Try to avoid excessively offensive language and/or content in your posts. While we have left many words uncensored, this is not an invitation to swear profusely on the forums and doing so may result in a warning.
2. Posts must (generally) be constructive and considerate. Ganging up on other users, making derogatory and/or discriminatory remarks, or making repeated one-word posts in non-game threads will result a warning or, if necessary, a ban.
3. One word posts and personal conversations should be avoided on the forum at all cost and may be deleted if entirely unnecessary. Try to keep conversations between two members to PMs unless you are discussing the thread topic or posting in the Forum Games or RPG section.
4. Sometimes figuring out where to post on our (sometimes too) many boards can be a bit of a challenge. Here's a basic guideline for a couple confusing situations:
Threads in Anime/Manga Genres - The content in this sub-forum varies by genre. Any general discussion within the topic (such as the "favorite ecchi anime" and "favorite yaoi pairing" threads) can go here. Additionally, all manga discussion should go in one of these categories. Specific anime series discussion/reviews should go in the General Anime/Manga Discussion threads under the "Anime Reviews/Series Discussion" board. Any given series CAN have a two threads—one for the anime and one for the manga—if there seems to be a need for both.
The Café vs General Discussion - The Café board can be used for any threads that involve questions (like age, favorite food, etc) as well as messages meant for the community (holiday threads, going away/coming back posts. General Discussion, on the other hand should be used for discussion of a specific topic not covered in any other board (food or books, for example).
This is a basic overview, but if you have any other question, comments, or concerns, feel free to post them here!
