A general thread to discuss anime on Toonami That being said, it looks like the English dub of Kill la Kill will begin airing, starting February 7th at 11:30 p.m. EST.

I really like Toonami, it feels so different watching anime on the big screen (I'm not used to it since I don't have to many DVD's) than on my Phone or Laptop. Although I wish it came on earlier as it is on really late. I usually fall asleep by 1-1:30 watching it. It would be awesome if Adult Swim just didn't happen on Saturdays so it could be Toonami from 8 PM EST to 5:30 AM EST that would be pretty cool. I might try to keep up with a series on it soon when one starts up as I hate jumping into series.

Yeah, Toonami was how I watched some of the more popular anime over the past few years, like FMA:B, Soul Eater, Naruto, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, and GITS: SAC, though more often than not, I would jump in halfway through and then go back later and watch what I missed online. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to watch Toonami since I moved in summer 2013, but it'll be great to get back into it when I have my own TV again and can record some of the shows to watch the next day.

Update: looks like Toonami will be cutting Attack on Titan, Cowboy Bebop, GiTS, Space Dandy, and shortening their schedule to 12:00am-3:30am due to low ratings in the later hours. No word so far on whether these shows will return to the schedule.

I think the major problem with Toonami is nobody wants to stay up that late to watch anime. Especially if you've got school, a job ect.

Yeah, even if I had a TV I could watch it on, despite wanting to support it, I wouldn't be able to stay up that late. It's great that they're still airing anime when no other channel is, but showing this stuff at 5 or 6am is never good for ratings.
