Because this thread is definitely not like any of the others I've seen a few pretty awesome anime movies, my top five being: 1. Kara no Kyoukai 7: Satsujin Kousatsu (Part 2) 2. Kara no Kyoukai 3: Tsuukaku Zanryuu 3. Asura 4. Wolf Children 5. Summer Wars Kara no Kyoukai 7 is probably my favorite movie of all time just because of the way it nicely wrapped up the series, particularly at the end. The first three on my list are quite dark, but I would recommend Wolf Children and Summer Wars to anyone who hasn't seen them before

I think that my favourite anime movie would have to be Akira. I went to see the 25th Anniversary version at the cinema with some friends when it was showing in the UK and it was such an awesome experience. The cinema was small but packed and had a great atmosphere, you could tell that everyone was into it and obviously the movie is such a classic.

Ah, completely forgot about Akira...probably #6 or 7 on my list. That sounds awesome! I don't think we have any theaters like that where I live.

It's called The Cameo and it's a pretty old school cinema, everything in it has a cool retro feel. It's got a bar in it as well and it shows a lot of movies that wont be shown elsewhere, I'd probably go more if it was closer. I actually saw the Ghost in the Shell 25th Anniversary version there as well.

My favourite anime movie is Trust and Betrayal, the Rurouni Kenshin OVA. It's the most beautiful, eerie, thoughtful, painfilled movie that touched my heart. When watching this was the closest I have ever gotten to crying while watching anime. The experience will stay with me forever.
