Hey guys! Since we officially have 10 members, I think it's time we kick off the forum's first official contest. This will be a competition to see who can get the most points and the winner will receive three free volumes of the manga of their choice, as available through Barnes and Noble's online site (volumes must be the regular listing price - $9.99 each)
So... how about some rules/guidelines?
Point values:
Making a post: 1 point
Making a thread: 5 points
Getting a referral: 20 points (40 points in the final week!)
*A 5 point bonus will go to the referrer for each referral that posts a minimum of 5 times by the end of the contest*
Pretty simple, right?
However...
- to avoid spam/posting just for points, only quality posts will count! Additionally, posts in the Forum Games board will not count towards your points.
- Forum Leaders are allowed to participate in the contest, but staff (which is really just Ken and me at the moment) cannot.
Ken and I will keep track of posts and thread creations, but since ProBoards doesn't have a referral feature, notifying us of your referrals will be up to you. When you get a referral, have them post in this thread to let us know!
***This contest will run until December 19th at 12:00 pm EST—just in time for the holidays! Point rankings will be updated weekly right up until the contest ends. Oh, and have no fear, all threads and posts leading up to today WILL count towards points as well
So without further ado, let the competition begin!
Current Referral Ranking:
Shido: 80 points
Seven: 220 points
typicalmangafan: 20 points
Browe: 60 points
didannl: 20 points
Aaaaand the results are in!
It was pretty close, but we have a definite winner.
with 1034 points and a grand total of 82 threads...

In second place, Browe with 911 points, 49 threads, and 2 referrals.
And in third place, Seven with 904 points, 14 threads, and a grand total of 220 points in referrals! (which is too many for me to count)
Congratulations, CF, and thanks to everyone who participated in the contest. It's amazing to think that a little over a month ago, this forum had 0 posts and only 2 members
