One of the games that I'm really hyped up for and actually pre-ordered is Batman: Arkham Knight. It's the third game in the Arkham series which has essentially revolutionized the combo system for superheroes, particularly Batman. AK's predecessors, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, were critically acclaimed, leading many to believe that Arkham Knight will be fantastic as well. The plot takes place a year after Arkham City and the two main villains will the Scarecrow, who has returned from his absence in Arkham City, and the titular Arkham Knight, who no one really knows about. There will an alliance between The Penguin, Two-Face, and at least Harley Quinn, which will cause Batman a lot of problems. One of the biggest additions to this game is the usage of the Batmobile and its REALLY awesome. You can even have a battle mode that shoots missiles against AI-controlled enemies (remember that Batman doesn't kill). The setting is Gotham City, which has always been in the background for the other two games. The game will come out on June 2, 2015 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PS4 (which is the version I'm getting.) All in all, I'm really excited for this upcoming game.
Here is some of Batman: Arkham Knight's gameplay (some of which pertains to the Batmobile):

Being a pretty big Batman fan, I'm super pumped for this game, especially the new character. I'd love to see him worked into future Batman shows/comics/films.
Kinda dissapoined it's not being released for Nintendo, though.

Arkham city was a huge disappointment I hope this one is better Wait, what? Arkham City is considered the best Arkham game so far, and improved Arkham Asylum in every way. Everyone I know has loved Arkham City, including me, because it maximized all the technical aspects of a Batman game. Are you sure that you aren't confusing Arkham City with Arkham Origins? Arkham Origins was the latest Arkham and that was the one that everyone hated; a big part of that is that Rocksteady, the studio that made Asylum and City, did not make it because it was focused on making Arkham Knight.

What happened to Arkham Origins? Where it belongs, in the abyss of where only bad games go to. On a serious note: I didn't consider Arkham Origins to be part of the trio that I mentioned in the thread because it wasn't made by Rocksteady, a contributing factor to why the game was such a big disappointment.

Arkham city was a huge disappointment I hope this one is better Personally, I think Arkham City is considered the best Arkham game so far, and improved Arkham Asylum in every way. Everyone I know has loved Arkham City, including me, because it maximized all the technical aspects of a Batman game. It maintained everything that was good about Arkham Asylum and then added in new features, such as the gliding capabilities in an actual city versus an asylum. One of my issues with Asylum was that it was too easy; the bosses were all beaten the same way while in City, each boss had a unique way of taking them down. Also, it was easy to go into critical strike mode, making the difficulty in taking down the henchmen much easier. I think Arkham City at the very least improved Arkham Asylum. Arkham Knight is shooting on all cylinders, the studio essentially went for everything, so I'm fairly certain that it should be able to satisfy you.
