Dataman Oh yeah... I really don't like that either, especially with the smiley thing. Just because I don't use a smiley doesn't mean that I'm upset; I'm just tired, lol. I just don't like girls that require attention all the time. The main thing is that if I don't feel like using a smiley and do not use it, it adds something to te moments when I feel like using one and I do use it. I mean, there should be emotion behind it. Yeah, I feel the same way. There's a reason why they're called emoticons in the first place :3

Oh and speaking of misuse of emoticons: Girls' facebook conversations. "Here my new selfie, turned bad in my opinon, hope you like ^_^ ^_^ <3" "Oh dearest dear dear,,,looking so beautifull and hott!! ^_^ <3 <3 ^_^ :* :*" "Thank you SOO MUCH my chokolate cake piece!! :3 <3 ^_^ ^_^"
Not against positivity but when there are forty or so comments in each post they make and they make new posts least once/twice a day it starts to feel pretentious and almost creepily sugarhoney'd...

Dataman went undercover as a teenage girl and found definitive proof Well... no. It just keeps on showing on my facebook wall and I'm not rude enough to unfriend them.

I don't know why most normal girls on the internet are like that. That's why I like weird ones.

One would think that, but stuff gets distorted on the interwebbiez. Outside to people who don't frequent the internet much, it's probably seen as normal, considering those people probably don't understand the use of emoticons in general. But on the internet, it's just your typical teenage/early-twenties girl/woman doing the usual thing: Whoring for likes on Facebook or Instagram (Where most extroverted girls can be found). Those girls are considered normal by society. Then you have girls like me. Introverted, nerdy, socially awkward as hell outside of the internet, but you won't see that behavior from me or other girls who have similar attributes. At least, I haven't seen it yet.
