My recommendation today is one of my all-time favorites and the character who I use as my avatar on Twitter. Justy Ueki Tylor (age 20) is a lazy slacker who wants an easy life above all else. So, obviously, he joins the United Planets Space Force in the pursuit of this goal. While he may lack ambition or any sense of duty or responsibility, what he does have is a huge amount of charisma and ridiculous amount of luck. With those gifts Tylor gets promoted to the rank of starship captain. Things just get more crazy from there as Tylor lucks his way through the potential war between the UPSF and Ralgonn Empire. For fans of Crispin Freeman, it may also be an interesting to see him playing a more comedic role than the deep voiced badasses he's known for like Alucard. EDIT: Forgot to add that another part of the fun of the series is the characters (and even viewers) trying to work out whether Tylor really is just a lucky idiot or if he's a lot smarter than he lets on. This video is of episode 1, and the scene starting at 5:15 should give you an idea, as Tylor explains why the military would be an easy life. The whole series is available on YouTube here, courtesy of MangaEntertainment.

I'd say give it to episode 4 Browe. By then you've met all the characters a bit and gotten through the first two-parter.
