God Eater recently got into my good side. It really shines with it's action, artwork and actually I even the scientific aspect. In the episode 3 there was a scene that simply blew my mind. If an anime can do that, it means that it has something important to give to me. A great case on why not to judge based on the first look, I think. This opinion might change depending on how the show is handled from now on, but right now, these are my thoughts. Hmmm...maybe I'll look into it once it's completed and see if it's worth giving another go Might I ask what it was about the scene that changed your perspective? Well, it is a pretty difficult to explain, but basically, this happened: The main characters are on a plane at the sunset. Then the base contacts them, and tells that "a big one is coming your way". The main character is about the get geared up again for combat, but his elder doesn't bother. Soon after, they hear a low roar. Then, behind the golden clouds in the horizon, there appears a ginormous shadow. The older fighter looks like he's ready to die and the main character looks like he finally came to the realization that the monsters can never be beaten. Then, the shadow keeps moving slowly and leaves their sight. I might've explained it pretty badly, but that scene was seriously amazing.
